Religious Reformation and Refoemed tradition
The first line developed by Reformed tradition is shared by the north-western Europe, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands and Germany, which always affects the eastern part of Hungary and Valdesia Church in southern Italy. Reformed church, in these areas, was active in the preparation of an early confession of faith and the Catechism, which was regarded as the standard of doctrines by mang of church. Calvin drafted the first catechism of reformed church in 1537 and revised it in 1541.This work has been translated into many languages, which has a great influence. More important, the Heidelberg Cathecism issued in 1563,is still the standard of belief confession document in most of the European reformed church.. The Belgic Confession also clearly stated the position of Calvinistic doctrine.Waterways across the British Isles, Calvinist Reformation is the most influential British thinking. At that time, Queen Elizabeth forced the Church of England to retain a half Catholic worship style and management methods, but still, Calvinisim as Thirty-nine Articles in was the same theological fundamentalism(the Thirty-nine Articles is the replica of the Forty-two Articles written by Archbishop Cranmer). Since the seventeenth century, Calvin's "essence of Christianity" provides the guidance of the basis of theology for the English-speaking students. At that time, the Puritans formed by Independents?Presbyterians and more firm Calvinists insisted on eradicating the remnants of Roman Catholicism in the the National Church. At the same time, while, a group of a good number of Protestant who was represented by the re-washed accepted that the implementation of the sacrament of baptism for adults was the only appropriate way,on the other hand, they also accepted most of the teachings of Reformed. Because they believe that the doctrine is scheduled, people call them "Particular" Baptist'in oder to to distinguish "Freewill" Baptists who refused. These groups not conforming the state religion took the responsibility of drafting of the Wesminster Confession of Faith?the Westminster Catechisms?Church administrative means and worship of order. Up to now, these are all still the standards of the English-speaking Presbyterian Church. Scotland and the Scottish Presbyterian Church took the initial use of "belief in the Declaration of Scots" (1560) and "Geneva Catechism", after 1647 they adopted Westminster Confession of Faith. After the pro-independence occupied an overwhelming majority of the British Parliament, they refused to accept the Anglican faith standards.
Seventeenth and eighteenth century
The reformed and the Presbyterian Church in European and the British colonies of the world, were established by the immigrants who moved to Massachusetts, New York, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and other places in the end of the 17th. Although initially the mother would not give any help, they still developed their own church following the mother's teachings, worship , and administrative traditions. Most Presbyterian Churchs used the benchmarks of the Westminster Document, but the church rooted in the traditional European Reformed kept its original confession of faith and catechism. The history of Reformed tradition is never plain sailing, with no dispute. Sometimes there are difficults for those people who stick to the Reformed to review and the defense their basic beliefs. As evidenced by one of the most influential one is a arguments from a theologian James Arminius at the Netherlands. Arminius opposed the teachings of Calvin on the grace. His followers issued a Remonstrance in 1610, against those disagreeing with their opinions and allowed the situation into a white-hot. In 1618, theologians from around the world held a special meeting for this in the Netherlands Dordrecht, and the participants condemned the Arminian's view, they affirmed:(1) complete degeneration of humanity; (2) God unconditionally choose; (3) Christ's atonement is limited to voters; (4) of irresistible divine mercy; (5) Mongolian conservative followers forever. Arminians were expelled from the reform of religious Council, but they set up their own churches, and were massive, becoming Wesleyan Methodism and other non-reform and anti-reform, were the foundation of religious faction. Special Association's Canons of the Synod of Dort ,the Belgic Confession, and the Heidelerg Catechism as the Three Forms of Unity , are the belief benchmark abided by the majority of the Reformed.
